Abstract :
According to the project status of reinforced concrete arch bridges, mechanical properties of arch bridges via arch axis coefficient and height-span ratio were investigated respectively by numerical calculation. Arch bridge properties degradation caused by arch axis deformation and overloading were inspected. The results show that hollow arch bridge with arch axis coefficient 1.167 and height-span ration 1/8 possess the best mechanical properties, arch subsidence and overloading significantly reduce static capacity of the bridge.
