Abstract :
Software Engineering is an important course for software related majors; yet it\´s also the most hated and most "boring" course among the students; teachers have difficulties in arousing the interest of their students, and there\´s hardly any doable practices that can be performed within the time/environmental limitation of the class. To address this issue, proposes a performance-oriented design model of the content & style of Software Engineering textbook for undergraduate software related majors; code of ethics, project management, documentation and coding skills, and career planning etc are added to the course content; quality-oriented education is integrated; various layout styles and decorative elements are imposed on the composing of the content. The newly designed textbook (Introduction to Quality-Oriented Software Engineering) has been proven to be more easily handled for teachers, and students have also shown paying more attention when in the class.
