Abstract
In order to improve operating efficiency for wind energy utilizing of doubly-fed turbine, a novel optimum power control strategy is proposed based on fuzzy control. First, selecting maximum wind energy tracking as active power control target of wind turbine, optimum turbine speed is deduced by a fuzzy logic controller, without wind velocity measuring. Second, selecting reducing generator loss as reactive power control aim, optimum reactive power is searched by another fuzzy logic controller. Finally, the whole wind generation system model is established, and effectiveness of the proposed methods for maintaining optimum power operating is indicated by simulation results.
