Abstract :
The proposed system has two parts. The first part deals with the scheduling and the latter deals with utilization of main memory where we deal with reallocation of pages. The aim is to perform a process scheduling based on user´s priority or automatic scheduling based on a scheduling algorithm. The current system of process scheduler prioritizes the process on the current scenario and they do not have any log to store the priorities for the corresponding process permanently. This system maintains a log of the prioritized process and when the process is initiated again, the log will remind the priority of the process to the user and depending on the user´s choice, the priority will be retained or rearranged. If the user selects automatic scheduling, then the system will schedule depending on the pages allocated for each process. The current paging system retains the pages in the memory even if the sub process and its related threads are idle. The proposed system will move the pages from main memory to secondary memory and will note the resulting changes in the page entry table. This will result in better utilization of main memory.
