Abstract :
This paper presents the design and hardware implementation of a multiple purpose fuzzy controller. The controller can be applied for a large class of systems including highly nonlinear industrial systems, such as, chemical plants, induction motors, etc. The controller can be applied without a complete knowledge of the system equations. Expert knowledge is taken into account during the adjustment of the rule base and the membership functions, Basically, the controller consists of a microcontroller with the necessary hardware and software. All the digital and analog hardware for processing the input-output signals and for the implementation of the desired control police are included as well
