Abstract :
A newly developed design of a combined electrochemical cell platform and thin film circuitries fitting to this platform carrying transducer electrodes for both galvanometric and impedimetric measurement principles is described in the paper. Preliminary test results with solutions containing unlabelled DNA are presented and capabilities of the platform to perform unique label free electrophoretic and dielectrophoretic experiments on DNA monitored by UV/VIS/NIR optical spectroscopic microprobes is demonstrated too. The leakage free operation, the ability to control and avoid bubbles, the possibility of manual refilling and evacuation, the flexibility of applicable electrode structures are further advantages shown. Preparation of Ag/AgCl reference electrodes and pilot experiments of electrophoretic DNA manipulation and impedance spectroscopic detection of DNA is described as well
