Abstract :
Image registration plays an important role in the research of image processing field. Fast and accurate image registration is the key premise of image fusion. Normalized mutual information is more stable and robust than standard information and its better performance and wider application can be expected. Image registration method in this paper based on normalized mutual information, use improved Powell method to find the optimal solution. in the premise of ensuring accuracy, we proposed several accelerated programs. Using the maximum entropy local image instead of registration image and changing the calculation method have been accepted as a efficient method. Experimental results proved the validity of the method.
