Abstract :
An approach using model-following control for regulating the bilinear systems is developed. It is demonstrated that global linearization and stabilization is achieved. In consideration of the fact that for many technical systems not all of the states are measurable, a method for designing an observer for bilinear systems is proposed. In comparison with other control laws and estimation schemes for bilinear systems the method presented is computationally simple and practical. The application of the scheme to a secondary controlled hydraulic rotary drive achieves the desired results
