  • Abstract
Power factor correction (PFC) technique is an important topic in the field of power electronics. This paper presents the analysis of the interleaved type PFC (Power Factor Correction) converter. The input current of this converter automatically follows the sinusoidal line voltage when the converter is operated in discontinuous current mode (DCM). In this paper, the converter is being modeled by applying state space averaging method, and steady state characteristics and dynamic characteristics are analyzed by DC component and perturbation component. From experimental results of 100|W| rated DCM interleaved type PFC converter, the validity of the analyses is confirmed.
