Abstract :
We have fabricated arrays of Pt nanowires with 2 nm width on the MgO(210) faceted templates and observed their optical second-harmonic generation (SHG) response. The SHG intensity pattern from the Pt nanaowires showed quasi-C2v symmetry. We have also found that the maximum SHG intensity from the fabricated 2 nm width Pt nanaowires was higher than that of thicker nanowires.
