Abstract :
The dynamic change of ecological footprint in Ganjiang River Basin during 1999 to 2008 were calculated and analyzed by using the ecological footprint mode though adjusting equilibrium factor and yield factor. Ecological footprint per capita of Ganjiang River basin ascended from 0.8236 hm2 in 1999 to 1.3307 hm2 in 2008, increasing by 61.6%. While the ecological capacity per capita decreased 0.0288 hm2 during this period with decreasing rate 2.96%. The per capita ecological deficit changed from -0.1479 hm2 to 0.3880 hm2, increasing 3.6 times, which showed that the ecological capacity of Ganjiang River Basin land was overloaded. The ecological footprint index increased from 0.458 to 0.585 during 1999 to 2008, showing the development of Ganjiang River Basin changed from weak sustainability to weak unsustainability. The ecological footprint per 10 000 RMB GDP decreased from 1.802 hm2 to 0.863 hm2, indicating the efficiency of land resource in Ganjiang River Basin promoted with 52%.
