With the urbanization and environment problem serious, Green building was widely spread throughout the world. Green building is a high performance building that is saving energy and efficient water using, has a longer life cycle than conventional buildings, produces less pollution. So, it was widely used recently years in China, as appoint to the green building composition and marked methods, at the same time account for the concept and technology characteristics of low impact development, the relationship between low impact development and green building was analyzed. Taking Wanke Center project for example, this paper describes low impact development techniques application in the green buildings, such as green roof, rain garden, grass swale, infiltration pipes, and so on. An integrate water management design was adopt, runoff, landscape watershed and gray water system were designed integration. 90% annual runoff was controlled, and more than 30% non-traditional water was reused. The low impact development project was achieved remarkable economic, environment and social benefit, and won the platinum gold of leadership in energy & environmental design (LEED) in America.
