Abstract
The development of a PC-based decision tool for the engineering manager to use in evaluating and selecting the computer-aided process planning (CAPP) system most appropriate for the manager´s manufacturing environment is presented. This decision aid is being developed using an object-oriented expert system shell, and has the potential of being a valuable tool in acquiring this computer-aided engineering-and-manufacturing software
