Abstract :
We consider various simplifications on the vector DFE structure for the specific case of SC-OFDM under some reasonable assumptions. The complexity of the feed-forward filter bank and the Cholesky decomposition are addressed resulting in significant complexity reductions. Additionally another complexity reduction method is identified that is most useful in the case of multiple parallel or concurrent DFE type structures. The techniques highlighted are also shown to be applicable to Vandermonde Precoded systems.
