Abstract :
To control the traffic network effectively, and reduce complexity of traffic control, it is necessary to divide the traffic network to some sub-areas which are the units of traffic coordination control. This paper describes the characteristics of sub-area division system and designs an expert system based on integrated correlation index to trade off several demands. Traffic sub-area division expert system framework and knowledge representation method are set up, and inference engine is designed base on fuzzy logic. A case study of Zhangjigang City in China demonstrates that this system can better solve multi-demand in traffic sub-area division system. And the results of this expert system are similar with ones of expert in transportation.
