Abstract

The Colloquium addresses the problems and legal implications associated with operation and maintenance of obsolete oil filled switchgear which may be working beyond its designed and certified rating. Papers are presented covering legal aspects, management of aged equipment and the latest information document by the Health and Safety Executive. Condition assessment techniques and cost effective solutions are explored with emphasis on correct selection, testing and certification of replacement equipment.
