Abstract :
Quantum well (QW) lasers have been the subject of intensive investigation recently. Based on the rate equation proposed by Nagarajan et al. (1991), an equivalent circuit model of a QW laser can be derived from the rate equation. By this circuit model, pulse response can be easily performed using a well-known SPICE simulator. More specifically, the effects of bias level of QW lasers are investigated
