Research on Third Party Logistics Inventory Consolidation under Uncertain Demand

The purpose of the thesis is to reveal the economic function of third party logistics (TPL) in supply chain. By constructing multi-period random storage model, the innovation benefit of TPL inventory consolidation for enterprises and supply chain are analyzed. The results show that TPL inventory consolidation makes shopkeeperspsila inventory and inventory fluctuation smaller and smaller, and inventory management functions of shopkeeperspsila degenerate gradually. TPL inventory consolidation not only improves profits of shopkeepers, but also reduces inventory costs of supply chain importantly, which improve their abilities of coordination and meeting changing situation of market.
