            Abstract : 
According to the rich design experience of the writer, the basic types, the cause of formation and characteristics of cracks on concrete structure are analyzed. Besides, the concrete structure no-joints design conception and thought are proposed. Taking the basement structure design for the Qatar Foreign Ministry Building for example, the design method, design requirement and constructional measures for long concrete structure no-joints design are suggested. This serves as a reference for the structure designers to adopt proper design method and measures to prevent or reduce cracks on concrete structure.
