Abstract :
A new single observer passive location of a fixed emitter model and a method using azimuth and elevation angle and its rate of changing information is discussed in this paper. It is indicated that this method could give the position of an emitter in a single measurement compared with a bearing only algorithm. It also analyzed the location error and observability of these two methods. Finally, computer emulation of single measurement and Kalman filtering emitter location are given.
