Abstract :
The Pulsed Power Group at AWE Aldermaston has been concerned with the focusing of high power relativistic electron beams for the production of high intensity X-ray sources for over twenty years and has developed a number of diode systems for this purpose. This presentation concentrates on what is known as the Paraxial Diode and the improvements that have been made to its performance on the Pulsed Power Group´s latest X-ray machine, Mogul E
