Abstract :
The increasing necessity of delivering software applications in non-stable business environments with rapidly changing requirements, have made a review of the role of the traditional software development methodologies relevant. This paper presents one authors experience using agile methodologies inside an airline to quickly solve a planning problem after the events of September 11th. It also shows the importance of "hybrid" personnel that masters both the information technology and business aspects, as a determinant factor to achieve the company\´s objectives.
