Abstract
The photoplethysmography (PPG) is a non invasive method, which is suitable to measure blood volume change. In this research, second derivative method of PPG (SDPPG) was used for monitoring the arterial condition. Data from eleven healthy volunteers were used to analyze the changes in the SDPPG waveform during rest position and immediately ten minutes after exercise. The results showed that SDPPG can be a potential method of monitoring arterial condition of an individual exerciser. Results also showed that the individual before exercise having higher index of vascular aging compared to after exercise.
