  • Abstract
    Stable high-elliptical sheet electron beam transport is an essential technology for an emerging class of high-power high-frequency planar-structure microwave devices. This paper studies on stable sheet beam transport in elliptical solenoid field. First, we investigate the magnetic field of elliptical solenoid. Then, we use 3D PIC simulations investigate the sheet beam transport in the elliptical magnetic field produced by elliptical solenoid. Our research shows that elliptical magnetic field is viable way to transport high-current, high-elliptical sheet electron beam.
