Abstract :
This paper is related to the technology of power transformer modeling, computational program validation and a strategy proposal for controlling the switching phenomenon associated to transformer inrush. Both computational and laboratory studies are discussed so as to verify the representation and control adequacy and efficiency. The results emphasize the possibility of building up devices capable towards the elimination of the classical and undesirable inrush currents.
