Abstract :
Single and coupled modified V-shaped tapered slot antennas on both low and high dielectric constant substrates, were analysed. It was observed that the single element modified V-shaped tapered slot antenna (TSA) has lower side lobes compared with the V-shaped TSA of the same dimensions also it was revealed that when a modified TSA was located in the proximity to an antenna of the same type and dimensions, it is the E-plane radiation pattern that can be distorted significantly. It was found that this effect is not very severe when the coupled antennas are on the low dielectric constant substrate.
