Abstract
A novel control for redundant parallel inverters with instantaneous current sharing is proposed. Current sharing based upon current regulation is realized through the share bus connecting all the paralleled modules without extra control modules. The share bus consists of only three automatically averaged signals (no matter how many modules in parallel): voltage reference, current reference and feedback voltage. The parallel system operating without extra current deviation control loop is modeled into an equivalent transfer function for the original inverter. As a result, both fast dynamic response and equal load current sharing capability are attained under linear or nonlinear load. System configuration and operation principle are presented. Simulation and experiment results are given in detail.
