Abstract :
We propose a new program development support tool that helps users construct application programs on top of a CORBA-based NMS platform. The key point is a new scripting language, FScript, for network management applications. Users can construct design specifications through a graphic user interface without precise knowledge of the grammar of FScript. In addition, the tool provides a data type checker that warns the type inconsistency in FScript specification, and a generator that generates a C++ source program from an FScript specification. Finally, the tool is very portable since it is completely written in Java
