Abstract :
The discussion among participants is a good way to gain knowledge during learning. But versatile discussion contents from e-learning system can not be displayed correctly on ubiquitous devices, which are limited by their capabilities. Moreover, it is inconvenient to input text messages on mobile device. Learners would not spend a long time on these, and moreover, it is impossible to enter some complex information such as mathematical formulas. In order to engage learners to participate in collaborative discussion during ubiquitous environments, the paper proposes an adaptive framework to share ideas and experiences among them, which allows learners to send questions (including text message, photos and video/audio captured by cameras or recorders embedded in mobile device) by email to participate in the discussion by mobile device. Another, the accessed contents can be adapted to ubiquitous devices according to their capabilities. Through the system, learning experience can be improved.
