Abstract :
The Fluid-Structure Interactions (FSI) phenomenon at Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) ignition transient was taken much more attention with the first prequalification motor (PQM-1) of Titan IV SRM exploded during its first full-scale static firing test. In this paper, research actuality and development trend of FSI which are from three parts-ignition gas flow, grain deformation and experiment are summarized at home and abroad. Combined with our national development conditions, the new approach on studying coupled Fluid-Structure at SRM ignition transient are discussed preliminarily.
