Abstract :
It is significant to extend the service life of component before functional fault occurrence for improving the operational efficiency of the component and reducing its maintenance cost. This paper presents an improved model of periodic maintenance policy for component with latent fault and discusses the character of the improved model by theoretical analysis. Based on the discussion, the principium of the improved model and the past model are compared by numerical analysis. The results show that the improved model is superior to the past model in several aspects.
