Abstract
In this article the results of the installation of all aluminium alloy conductor 6201 "FLINT" in the transmission line 230 kV Goianinha-Mussure II, concession of the Goiana Transmissora de Energia S.A., detailing the technical and economical advantages will be presented. The motivating aspects of the optimization, comparatives data of conductor, results of type tests carried through in the conductor, structures, and mainly the economic aspects involved in the use of this type of conductor will be approached.
