  • Abstract
A description is given of the implementation of a microprocessor-controlled three-phase PWM MOSFET inverter using an 18 kHz carrier frequency for UPS applications. Novel techniques have been used to overcome the problems inherent in microprocessor-controlled PWM generators. All control functions required by the inverter, including a proportional-integral algorithm, have been implemented with a single microprocessor. The inverter exhibits low total harmonic distortion and fast transient response
