Abstract :
It is very important for us to research the course of growing plants. The paper introduces an electro-optical measuring system to measure the geometry dimension of plant organs. And the system uses a new technology which can set a modern light, electricity, mechanical technology as one. The measuring principle is stated, and an electro-optical measuring system is designed, including linear array CCD (Charge-Coupled Device), signal processing circuit and optical system (including illuminating system and imaging system). In this system, we use the Kohler illumination, the telecentric team path, a single-chip microcomputer driving circuit, the differential methods and LCD display. The measurement accuracy of the system is analyzed. The measuring error of system is less than 0.001 mm.
