Abstract :
The design, fabrication and test results of a GaAs monolithic transimpedance amplifier for low noise and high speed optical communication systems is presented. It is based on a simple cascode structure enhanced in terms of bandwidth and noise. Very good repeatability and excellent electrical and optical/electrical performances are obtained.
