Abstract
We propose new crossbar circuits in which the logic functionality, signal restoration, and connectivity are all performed by similar bistable two-terminal devices with negative differential resistance (NDR) in one of the states. The gate isolation challenge is met by using device´s nonlinearity together with a multiphase clocking scheme. A preliminary evaluation shows that for at least some applications, the all-NDR approach enables circuit density and data throughput higher than those of hybrid CMOL FPGA ICs.
