Abstract :
This paper contributes to the circuit design of a PWM control IC for three-phase inverter. The circuit realizes both deterministic and random PWM techniques into a control IC. Based upon the developed circuit code programmed in VHDL, the designed PWM control integrated circuit (IC) can be incorporated into system-on-a-chip for the particular kind of inverter control; and thereby contributing to fast time-to-market without any domain knowledge of PWM control in prior. Experimental results are presented to confirm the circuit design.
