Abstract
In order to modelling and managing software process resources, this paper first divides software process resources into four categories. Based on the classification, a formal software process resources model (SPRM) is proposed. The model support modelling resources into the four different categories, describing the nature of the resources by define first-order predicate formulates, restricting resources by define invariants, and carrying out the operation on resources by defining functions (or methods). Furthermore, this paper put forward a hierarchical method of managing resources in activity layer and task layer by defining activity resources and task resources. Finally, in order to show the effectiveness of the method, an example of modelling resources by SPRM was given.
