Abstract :
This paper aims at enhancing the measurement accuracy of the wind turbine rotor-speed which presents a wide range from 0 to 1000 Rpm. A novel equally accurate measurement scheme utilizing standard reference clock signal and proximity switch detection is proposed. The theory derivation argues the error is reduced comparing to the traditional way, meanwhile the performance of accuracy and uncertainty of the system has been improved and the nonlinear characteristics has been decreased. Implementation method is introduced briefly. The experimental results show that the measurement accuracy of wind turbine rotor-speed has been increased by using this strategy, which could improve the control performance of the whole wind turbine system indirectly.
