Abstract :
The current reactive power compensation Research is discribed, the principle and characteristics of controlled reactor are presented in this paper, a dynamic reactive power compensation set based on MCR is developed, using its capacity to adjustment smoothly. The running test results in a 220KV substation show that the compensation system can quickly respond to the voltage and reactive power requirements, the system voltage quality and reactive power distribution are improved.
