Abstract :
A 32 channel Analog to Digital Conversion module has been designed in a single width VME unit. The analog circuits, with 32 Linear Gate and Stretcher sections followed by a multiplexer, are located on a piggy-back board. The main board contains the ADC, the Control Logic and the VME interface circuitry. The fast 12-bit ADC allows the conversion of all the 32 channels in less than 10 μs. The differential nonlinearity is about 2%. The values of the rise-time protection and of the low and high amplitude thresholds are software-selectable. The module has Zero Suppression and Chained Block Transfer protocol capabilities
