Abstract :
Based on the LMS adaptive channel estimation algorithm in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) for low-voltage power line communication (PLC), an improved LMS channel estimation algorithm is proposed. The presented algorithm adjusts the step size in the LMS algorithm according to the average autocorrelation time estimation and mean square error (MSE). Experimental results show that the bit error rate (BER) and MSE characteristics of the improved LMS channel estimation algorithm are 10% of the original LMS channel estimation algorithm on the condition that signal to noise ratio (SNR) is 12dB.
