Abstract
A new power system stabilizer based on fuzzy logic control (NFLPSS) using speed deviation (Δω) and change in excitation voltage (ΔEfd) as inputs is presented in this paper. Also a new method of defining the membership functions of fuzzy classes for the variables over the respective universe of discourses is also presented. Simulation studies have shown that the proposed NFLPSS provides good damping over a wide operating range and significantly improves the dynamic performance
