Abstract :
A solid-state fault current controller (FCC) is developed for the 10kV power grid fault current limiting. The rated current and voltage of the FCC is 100Arms and 10kV, respectively. The prospective fault current is 2kArms, and the current limited rate is 60%. The measurement system is used for the testing of FCC under normal and fault conditions. As the voltage-endurance of each used IGBT is 1400V, 8 units are connected in series for single-phase. Therefore, voltage-sharing of the cascaded units is a vital index needs supervising. The experiments of FCC show that the measurement system is reliable under all required testings.
