  • Abstract
In bio-manipulation, a micro-force sensor is demanded to control operation force, specially in cells injection. In this paper, a PVDF membrane is used to design micro-force sensor, this membrane is integrated with bio-manipulation probe, in this way, the micro-force sensor can control cells injection and bio-manipulation. In order to measure spring constant of membrane, a resonance frequency method is used. After spring constant of membrane is obtained, the nano-platform can be used to calibrate the relation of pressed force and output volt of membrane. Our experiment results show that the resonance frequency method can measure the spring constant of membrane accurately. In this paper, the spring constant of our micro-force sensor is 4.4 muN/mum, the minimum force that micro-force sensor can measure is 44 muN.
