Abstract :
We present an iterative equalization scheme suitable for compensation of chromatic dispersion. This scheme is able to compensate for chromatic dispersion over 800 km of standard SMF in an NRZ optical transmission system without optical dispersion compensation operating at 10 Gb/s for only 128 states in corresponding trellis description of the channel.
