Abstract :
This paper introduces Fibre Channel about its layers, topologies and class services. Emphasis is placed on the discussion of device login procedure and frame format in different topologies. Based on Xilinx FPGA chip, the design and implementation of the system uses the hardware and software cooperation model. In the experiment, we connect the system with Qlogic2340F and Brocade 200E Fabric switch. The result shows that the development board can login successfully in both pointer-to-pointer topology and Fabric topology with these equipments.
