Abstract :
A low cost 4 ports microstrip line phase shifter is proposed. It is composed of the fixed substrate and the movable substrate. The simulation results show that it can realize equal variety of phase difference between nearby ports by moving the movable substrate, and the maximum phase difference ±215 degrees can be achieved at 2 GHz with the maximum deviation to the ideal line only 8°. The differences of insertion loss among all ports are less than 0.3 dB. This kind of phase shifter has good performance.
