Abstract :
A new approach to control system design for induction motor drive is presented. The control method is based on adaptive variable structure design. The mathematical model of the adaptive variable structure controller based on genetic algorithm system is presented. The design is simple and easy to be implemented. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed adaptive variable structure controller provides high performance dynamic characteristics and is robust with regard to change of motor speed and external load disturbance.
