Abstract :
The improvement of a full-wave voltage-mode resonant converter is proposed. The turn-on loss caused by the energy stored in the depletion capacitance of the transistor switch in the conventional converter is eliminated by adding a small capacitor across the diode. The converter has high efficiency, low output impedance, and small variation in switching frequency to regulate the output voltage for load change. The operation range of zero-voltage switching is extended up to no load by decreasing the input inductance or the smoothing inductance
